Main Cloister

The Main Cloister is the ceremonial heart of the monastery and its most generous space. Its ochre walls, framed in white, surround a chequered floor of sillar and river stones that magnifies the sense of grandeur.

Presiding over the cloister are 32 Cuzco-school paintings narrating the lives of the Virgin Mary and Saint Catherine. It is the natural setting for large-scale events, corporate dinners and grand celebrations.

With a standing capacity of 753 guests, it is one of the most versatile heritage venues in southern Peru.
